For my first proper post I thought I'd share something quite big in my life. On the 12th June, whilst out with friends on a trip to the theatre, I slipped and fractured my right leg. When I woke up that morning ready to get the train to placement, I did not think I would visit A&E, or become a student taking a year out because I slipped in the rain.
It has been 7.5 weeks now, and I have 3 days left in my cast, the weeks have gone slowly but have passed and I have learned quite a few things as well as experiencing life at my lowest, here are some of the things I've learned;

My very fetching leg cast. |
- Moving back home is a big shock after having independence,
- Learning to walk with crutches is tough, tiring and hardwork,
- 8 weeks seems like forever, but, keeping busy is your best friend,
- A leg cast gets very hot and sweaty in 35 degree heat,
- Muscle atrophy is not cool,
- I used to take so many things for granted, and I am determined to change.
